I started this blog to keep track of the developments of the Mediamatic Travel Project, a project initiated by Mediamatic Foundation to "stimulate international collaboration amongst cultural professionals and enhance the visibility of underground culture in cities online and offline (Mediamatic Travel:About)."
This is how it works: Basically everybody working in the arts or interested in underground culture can either browse through various not-so-touristy contributions added by cultural professionals living in cities around the world. You can even contact these so-called guides for extra guidance or ask them to guide you if you're planning an actual visit. They will help you plan your activities, introduce you to the art scene and update you on the latest developments in town.
My task within the project is to research the participation within the Mediamatic Travel network and to come up with solutions/strategies/tools to enhance the visibility of the project, to increase the participation and interaction among users.
